Why The Fur Stories Was Born

If you have ever loved a pet, you know the feeling. Not the big, scary kind of worry. The small, constant, daily kind.

Did she eat enough this morning? Was that poop okay? When did he last drink water? Did I give him his joint supplement, or did I just think about giving it to him? How many steps did we actually manage today?

That is where The Fur Stories started.

Our babies need a lot. They cannot tell us what hurts. They cannot say "I have been drinking less water this week" or "I skipped breakfast three times this month." They cannot remind you that today is the one with the omega-3 capsule, not just the deworming tablet. They cannot tell you that they have been a little slower on walks for the past ten days, or that their poop has been slightly off since you switched their food.

They rely on us to notice. To remember. To connect the dots.

And most of us are doing all of that from memory.

If you have one pet, it is a lot. If you have two or three, with different diets, different medications, different supplement schedules? It is genuinely hard. This one is on a joint supplement. That one needs a specific probiotic. This cat cannot share the other's food. The puppy's deworming is due this week. The senior dog's blood work needs to be reviewed.

Here is the thing nobody tells you about pet care. The small things matter as much as the big emergencies.

Minor observations, logged consistently, become the health history that matters. A good day. A slow day. A day they drank more water than usual. A poop that looked different. A meal they barely touched. Each one seems like nothing in the moment. Together, they are everything.

(We built a whole section just for poop. We called it Poopedia. Because of course we did.)

For those of us who also foster, the problem gets even sharper. When you are handing over an animal to their forever home, you need to give someone else their full story. Every vaccine, every medication, every vet visit, every note. Piecing that together from WhatsApp threads, screenshots, and memory is not good enough.

It should have been one tap. It never was.

We built The Fur Stories for every pet parent who treats their animal like the family member they are.

For the ones who notice when something is a little off and want somewhere to put it. For the ones managing two or three babies with completely different routines. For the ones tracking meals, water, activity, poop, supplements, and vet visits because they know their pet better than anyone and want their vet to know what they know.
